Crazing is the enemy of WDCC sculptures. Glaze crazing or glaze crackle is a network of lines or cracks in the fired glazed surface. It happens when a glaze is under tension. It has usually the appearance of spider web vines. External factors can lead to crazing on WDCC, like a direct exposition to sun.
For WDCC, crazing is often unavoidable, mostly for the oldest sculptures. For some, it's barely noticable, for others, it can have an impact on the value of the sculpture.
